Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ShopTrola Universal POS (the “Service”) operated by ShopTrola (“we”, “us”, or “our”), including our mobile applications, APIs, and websites at https://shoptrola.com.

By creating an account, signing in (including with Google), or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be legally able to enter a binding contract and authorized to act for the business you register.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate business and contact information and keep it up to date.
  • The Service is intended for authorized store personnel only.

2. The Service

ShopTrola provides POS, inventory, billing, staff/device management, subscription modules, and related tools. Features may vary by plan, region, device, and configuration. We may modify, add, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical.

3. Google Sign-In & third-party services

You may sign in using Google or other third-party identity providers. Your use of those providers is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. Optional Google Drive linkage is for associating backup/restore settings with your business account as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions & payments

  • Paid plans, add-ons, taxes (including GST where applicable), and billing cycles are shown in the app or checkout flow.
  • Payments are processed by third-party gateways (such as Razorpay, Stripe, or PayPal).
  • Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or limitation of paid features.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer the Service except to the extent permitted by law
  • Misrepresent your identity or your authority to operate a business account
  • Upload malicious code or content that infringes others’ rights

6. Your content & business data

You retain ownership of the business data you submit (products, sales, logos, customer records you enter, etc.). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You are responsible for the legality of data you enter (including customer and employee information).

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, branding, design, and documentation, is owned by ShopTrola or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of our intellectual property—only a limited, revocable right to use the Service as permitted.

8. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ShopTrola AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify ShopTrola against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your business operations, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk for other users or our systems, or fail to pay fees when due. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
